Miss Emily - Principal
Emily is a triple threat performer. After training professionally at the MADD College, Nottingham, she went on to have a 7 year career as a professional performer alternating dance, singing and acting work. Internationally Emily has danced in the United Arab Emirates, India and Europe and Nationally has performed at corporate events, as a backing dancing for various artists, in music videos and been a member of the Leeds Rhinos Cheerleading Squad as well as appearing on TV numerous times.
Now a highly qualified and respected teacher in all styles of Theatre Dance and Singing. Emily works as a Festival Adjudicator and now also trains others to become qualified Dance Teachers through Bonds Theatre College. Her qualifications include; FIDTA Ballet; LIDTA Modern Jazz; FIDTA Tap; Level 4 Diploma in Theatre Craft; FIDTA Freestyle; LIDTA Street Dance; LIDTA Cheerleading; IDTA Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology; LCM Diploma in Singing Performance; IDTA Gymnastic Dance Diploma.
Miss Nushi - Teaching Faculty
Anoushka (Nushi) is a fully qualified Associate dance teacher within the IDTA and is a professional dancer and
choreographer in performing arts. She began dancing at 8 years old at stage school excelling in ballet, street dance, and
tap. As a professional dancer for several years she has enjoyed touring abroad in Thailand, dancing in theatres with grand
orchestra's and has performed on many stages across the UK. She has taught dance for over 15 years in both comprehensive
and stage dance schools and has a wealth of experience to offer students of all abilities wanting to learn to dance.
Her constant self improvement has been pivotal in discovering new dance styles that she happily shares with all her pupils.
Her aim is to help young dancers discover their passion and help them on the way to either a successful dance career or to
be a healthy fulfilled individual. Nushi has the following qualifications; AIDTA Ballet; IDTA Diploma in Anatomy &
Physiology; Level 4 Diploma in Tap. She is currently training for her Licentiate in Ballet.
Miss Gabby - Teaching Faculty
Gabriella, better know as Gabby, started dancing at a young age. As her dance training progressed she began excelling at Tap, Freestyle Jazz and Commercial, although she trained in all styles of Theatre Dance. She undertook many exams and often competed in dance festivals and competitions. Gabby trained, for a time, at both the Lynton Academy and Ellite Studios Performing Arts College before deciding that her true passion lay within teaching rather than performing. Gabby then enrolled as a student at Bonds Theatre College where she could complete her professional teacher training. Since joining the college she has taken and passed her Pre-Associate 1 and 2 Tap exams as well as her Anatomy & Physiology Diploma. Gabby is now studying for her Level 4 Diploma in Tap and Associate Freestyle. Gabby has a great rapport with the students. Her choreography is fresh and interesting and she enjoys putting this skill into practise by creating routines for festival work. Gabby is also a qualified Fitness Instructor and enjoys putting this skill into practising delivering sports sessions at mainstream schools throughout the area. She also teaches all styles of theatre dance at various schools across the region as a Freelance Dance Teacher. Her ultimate ambition is to become an Examiner for the IDTA.
Miss Amber - Teaching Faculty
Amber started dancing at the age of 2 and a half and its always been her biggest passion. During her time at dance school she performed in many shows and competitions in a variety of dance genres such as tap, modern, song and dance, ballet and character. Amber has done several pantomimes at both the Carriageworks in Leeds and Harrogate Theatre. She has also performed in many shows such as High School Musical and Footloose. Amber trained at the prestigious SLP College and achieved a Level 6 Diploma in Musical Theatre specialising in Dance. During her time as an SLP student Amber performed in shows at the Alhambra and York Opera House and was chosen to perform professionally at the City Varieties in 'The Good Old Days' and was privileged to perform at 'Move It' on two occasions. Amber also worked as a profession dancer with the Leeds Rhinos Cheerleading Squad. Her professional career then took her to work as a dancer for the Haven Theatre Company at Thornwick Bay and later she progressed to become Rehearsal Director for Bourne Leisure, a position that led to working at sites Nationwide. Amber has been teaching for many years now, initially working as an assistant teacher and now being a fully qualified teacher in her own right. As well as working as a dance coach at holiday camps and primary schools across the region, Amber is also a qualified Acrobatic Arts Instructor.
Miss Lauren - Teaching Faculty
Lauren began her dance training at the age of 3 years old with ballet, tap and jazz. Throughout the years Lauren’s range of styles grew. She continued to study ballet, jazz and tap alongside modern theatre, contemporary, commercial, lyrical and street dance. At the age of 16, Lauren began working on a variety of professional projects including street theatre for the Leeds Corn exchange, performing in the Leeds Playhouse Theatre, the ‘Just So festival’ and travelling to Portugal to work on a short film project. Alongside her performance opportunities, Lauren also began her teaching career. Lauren spent a year studying a level 4 in dance and drama in Ormskirk where she also studied aerial hoop, silks and pole fitness. She then went on to begin studying a degree in dance teaching at Preston College of Dance, alongside two teaching qualifications with the ISTD. Lauren has experience in teaching all ages from toddlers to the elderly, including those with special educational needs and people with life limiting illnesses.
